Having spent a significant part of our lives in dynamic yet stereotypical corporate spheres—with all the rewards and accolades—it became evident that we yearned for something more profound. Life imparts invaluable lessons when we attune ourselves to listen. However, the journey often complicates our attempts to disconnect from the routine while navigating the hustle and bustle of daily life.

After five years of hard work, countless challenges, and serving over a billion lattes (a bit of hyperbole never hurt), the overwhelming support from customers, neighbors, and the community inspired us to consider what’s next. Enter a new venture: a DAX retreat called DAX house. The link between this project and our coffee shop is simple – it’s all about connection and community. Amidst the pandemic’s hardships, the importance of human connection and community became even more evident. This realization strengthened our commitment to fostering connections through coffee, wine, conversation, and service. Our renewed understanding of the universal need for connection led us to create a unique retreat that combines our enlightenment philosophies with shelter, nurture, and the chance to disconnect. This project pays homage to our greatest inspirations and reflects our commitment to inspire growth, evolution, and connection. Life is beautiful, and DAX house is a testament to that beauty.

Whether you savor a double shot of espresso, relish the smoothness of a latte, embrace the boldness of a pour-over, or simply enjoy a flawless batch brew, we have an exquisite range to suit your preferences. Our collaborations include the Morning Machine, a specialty capsule espresso brewing machine, Ratio Six for the perfect batch brew, the Chemex for an impeccable pour-over experience, and finally, the Fellow Ode grinder and Fellow AKG electronic goose-neck kettle to perfectly harmonize it all.

Surrounded by sprawling paddocks and towering sugar maple, red maple, and yellow birch trees, DAX house is a unique home base for your holiday, or event. Architecturally designed, the spacious, two-bedroom/three-bathroom cabin, emanates peaceful indulgence.
Thanks to a passive design, the atmosphere inside our cabin is always just right and the gas fireplace takes the edge off chilly northern nights. Stargazers will love the outdoor woodburning firepit, gas fireplace, and integrated spacious 7-person hot tub.
